Hello everyone!
The 6th grade's production of The Lion King Kids is soon approaching. It is coming to that time where I am starting to look for costume pieces and costume construction materials. We will be making a lot of large animal costumes from cardboard and paper mâché. If you have any of the following materials that you'd be willing to part with, please send them to school with your students, drop off at the central office or contact myself at jessie.nelson@twinriver.esu7.org! Thank you!
Cardboard (especially large pieces like from big boxes)
Paper Cardboard (like cereal boxes and snack boxes)
Newspapers
Craft board/Poster board
Packing paper (like that thin brown paper that comes in Amazon packages)
Chicken wire/mesh material
Miscellaneous wire
PVC pipes or other strong tube materials
Pex tubing (smaller, slightly more flexible tubing, but still has some strength to it)
Styrofoam
Orange fabric
Gray fabric
Yellow fabric
Large wooden dowels
Pool noodles
Fishing wire
Walking sticks
With the exception of maybe the walking sticks, none of these materials would be able to be returned to you if you donate them to us, so please keep that in mind! Thank you!
