Students in FCS 7 started their unit on Child Development this week. After learning about physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development they were encouraged to "paint" their desks with pudding! The class used this activity to discuss how it relates to all areas of development as well as sensory development, the use of fine motor skills, and how it is developmentally appropriate for children and what ages it would enhance development!

The October, 3rd Grade Student of the Month for Mrs. Fisher's class is Lane Hoadley. Lane demonstrates excellent behavior inside and outside the classroom, is well mannered, and respectful to peers and teachers. His teachers can always count on him to help when he is asked and he goes out of his way to help his classmates and friends. Lane is also a student who wastes no time and comes to class prepared. He's never afraid to participate in class and always follows instructions. Mrs. Fisher's third grade student of the month is Lane Hoadley.
The October, 3rd Grade Student of the Month for Mrs. Hugh's class is Tiffa Husak-Johnson. Tiffa always has a positive attitude in the classroom, and is committed to doing her best no matter the challenge. She is well prepared for class and always completes her assignments. Tiffa cooperates with both teachers and students. She is courteous and respectful to others, and always willing to help others when needed. Tiffa is a pleasure to have in class.
The October, 4th Grade Student of the Month for Mrs. Strain's class is Skylar Fidermutz. Skylar has been working very hard in fourth grade. She shows a strong work ethic and is always willing to put in the effort to complete tasks to the best of her ability. She not only works hard on her studies but is also a wonderful friend to her classmates, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear, which makes everyone want to be her friend.
The October, 4th Grade Student of the Month for Mrs. Cunningham's class is Hunter Kutschkau. Hunter has been working so hard in the classroom to make sure he gets all of his stuff done. He is seen as a great helper towards the other students in our classroom! Hunter has improved his attitude since the beginning of the year and is becoming a role model for the other students.

Last week, Twin River elementary celebrated Red Ribbon week along side of nurse Tara. We started off the week by "Dreaming of a Drug Free World" and "Putting a cap on Drugs". Each class took their pledge drug free pledge and spent time with Nurse Tara learning about the dangers of drugs. It's a GREAT day to be a Titan! #WeAreTR
