The 5th grade enjoyed a field trip to the SAC Museum today. They saw a planetarium show, images from the Hubble Space telescope, made and launched rockets, got to be creative in the hands on “Minecraft” area, and of course got to see planes.

The Twin River Volleyball team wrapped up their season last Monday in a 5 set game with David City Aquinas. The girls fought hard and never gave up through the whole match. The girls worked hard everyday to get better and showed tremendous growth from the start of the season to the finish of the season . Their dedication and improvement give us a strong foundation to build on for next year. Thank you to our six seniors, you will be greatly missed — your leadership, effort, and spirit will be hard to replace.

The Twin River Junior High Volleyball team finished up their season on October 18 at the Norfolk tournament bringing home the 2nd place trophy, only falling to Norfolk Middle School. We had 18 girls out this year. These girls worked hard all year long and put a lot of time into their off-season this summer. The majority of these girls played in the Y League and a sand league all summer long. Overall, the C team finished their season 5-2-2, the B team went 11-6 and the A team finished up 11-6. The team had big wins over Boone Central, Fullerton and Osceola. Great job girls, keep working hard and staying active! The future burns bright!

Jr. High Football finish their undefeated season being 5-0 with a 1-0 “B-Team” schedule. The Titans beat all of their opponents on their schedule by a combined total of over 130 points. Many of these points coming from key players Braysen Miller, Jerrod Andel, Ryker Thompson, Cohen Roebuck, and MANY more. Defensively the Titans only allowed their opponents to score an average of only 17 points per game with great efforts from everyone but specifically from key players Kane Olson, Gavin Connelly, and Braylon Kurtz. Coaches Dylan Loewe, Davonte Mouton, and James Roebuck said “We had a total of 30 kids on our football team. They all came to work every day finding ways to help better the team and their level of play showed it. Each athlete that comes out for us has a key role in the team’s success and everyone this year embraced their own role and helped the team. We are looking forward to seeing what this team can accomplish in the future.”
