We had a wonderful time at our Preschool Family Literacy Night! 📚✨

Families joined us for an engaging evening focused on the importance of reading at home. A special thank you to ESU 7 for visiting and sharing valuable strategies to help support early literacy skills. Students and their families had the opportunity to create their very own books together—what a fun and meaningful activity! Each child also went home with a copy of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin, Jr. to continue the learning and fun at home. 🌴🔤

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the night such a success!

At this point, we are planning to have school on Wednesday, April 15th and for the remainder of the week. The school will have drinking water bottles available during the school day for students and staff. We also have water to use for cooking in the kitchen. We do ask students and staff that live outside of Genoa water supply to bring a water bottle filled with water from home. We will continue to provide drinking water until the city informs us the water is safe to drink.

Kindergarten had a fantastic time on their field trip to the Hastings Museum today! They explored different aspects of animal life through hands-on activities, discovered a variety of animal habitats, and even enjoyed a 3D Animal Kingdom movie in the IMAX theater.

The fourth grade took their field trip to Lincoln today. They toured the state capital and got to meet with Senator Lippincott from our district. The kids also go to talk with Twin River Graduate Trey Quick who works in senator Hunt’s office. We then went to the Nebraska History Museum and explored “What Makes a Nebraskan?” Then headed over to tour Memorial Stadium, it was a busy fun filled day!

Come celebrate with us for the prom grand march tomorrow at 6:30!
