🎉 Congratulations, Ms. Rogers! 🎉
Yesterday, Ms. Rogers was honored with the Merrick County Foundation Extraordinary Educator Award—a well-deserved recognition for her dedication, passion, and positive impact on students and our school community.

In addition to this special honor, Ms. Rogers received an award and $500 in recognition of her outstanding commitment to education. We are so proud of her and grateful for the difference she makes every day.

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Rogers on this incredible achievement!

Each year, Mr. Koch tries to get a project for the students to work on for welding class. This year they again restored a trailer. The attached pictures show this year's completed Trailer with a before picture included. This Utility Trailer is 4 x 8 and has a 1 7/8" ball hitch. Restoration included: new paint, new deck and side rails, new wiring and tail lights and repacked the wheel bearings. The trailer has tilt bed capabilities and the front and rear railings can be removed and used as ramps.
Students that helped with the trailer were: Gage Ellenwood, Levi Finn, Gavin Vanek, Blaze Sock and Colton Blaser. (Blaze Sock was the project leader)

Additional note: This trailer is also for sale. Any profit made on this trailer will go into the purchase and supplies needed for next year's project. Asking $650 O.B.O. If interested, contact Mark Koch

Our 4th graders had an exciting visit from Elizabeth Raines, Educational Specialist with the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation!

She led an engaging, hands-on lesson titled “Sandhills Cattle and River Valley Soybeans.” Students explored why plants and animals live and grow where they do in Nebraska by investigating different types of soil from around the world. Using play-doh “soil samples,” they sliced fractions, compared land types, and discovered how Nebraska’s soil, weather, and landforms help shape agriculture in regions across our state.

It was a fun and meaningful way for students to connect classroom learning with real Nebraska agriculture. Thank you, Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation, for this amazing opportunity! 🌾🦬🌱

Mrs. Hughes' third grade class had an exciting visit from Elizabeth Raines of Nebraska Farm Bureau, who shared her “Who Grew My Soup?" presentation and taught them all about Nebraska agriculture.
