The 2025 FBLA State Leadership Conference was held in Kearney April 10-12. Twenty-eight members and two advisers attended the conference. The students participated in numerous leadership development sessions and competitive events, as well as networking with other students from other chapters. Due to unforeseen circumstances at Centennial's Baseball field, Thursday nights game vs Centennial will be held here in Genoa, at the City ball park. It will be Varsity only with the game starting at 4:30 PM.

Today's baseball game vs Louisville (3/29/25) has been cancelled due to weather.

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) and Currency sponsors Believers & Achievers, a state-wide awards program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders. Believers & Achievers recognizes Nebraska students for their excellence in academics and participation in NSAA activities. Students who show a commitment to citizenship, school involvement and community projects are honored in the Believers & Achievers program.
🌟 🌟Twin River senior, Lane Lund, was one of 48 students from across the state of Nebraska that was selected as a recipient of the Believers and Achievers award. Lane will be recognized for this amazing accomplishment on Saturday, March 15th during half-time of the Boys Class A state basketball tournament. Congratulations, Lane! 🌟 🌟

Twin River Speech will be hosting Speech Night tonight. At 6:30, the coaches will make a few remarks in the hallway of the first floor of the old main building. All performances will take place on that floor until OID, which will take place in the new gym. Desserts will be available for a free will donation benefiting the speech program in the hallway starting at 6:00 and running throughout the evening. The evening will follow this schedule. Hopefully the times will be close, but each round of performances will not start until the previous round has concluded and all spectators have had the chance to get to the next performance. We hope to see you there!

Sophomore parents, please try and help remind your students to charge their Chromebooks tonight and arrive at school on time as they will be taking the Pre-ACT tomorrow morning in the cafeteria.

1st Grade
The February Student of the Month for 1st Grade is Gus Johnson. Gus is a model student at school. He always does his best on all of his assignments and he volunteers to help others when he finishes early. Gus is a rule follower and a natural leader. On the MAP test this year, he improved both his math and reading by a great amount. Keep up the hard work, Gus!
2nd Grade Horacek
The February Student of the Month for Mrs. Horacek’s 2nd grade class is Laini Ferris.
Laini is a model student. She always puts forth her best effort, no matter the task. She completes her work, and goes above and beyond when it comes to classwork- always completing optional work to benefit her learning. Laini participates in class and follows classroom and school rules and expectations. She is kind to everyone around her. She's a good friend to all students and is someone others can rely on. Laini is always willing to help anyone whenever they need it. She is someone that other students can look up to.
2nd Grade Hill
The February Student of the Month for Mrs. Hill’s 2nd grade class is Merritt Nelson. Merritt is kind, hardworking, and always willing to work with everyone in class. He is doing awesome on AR and has been very excited about reading Dog Man books!
