Our 4th graders had an exciting visit from Elizabeth Raines, Educational Specialist with the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation!
She led an engaging, hands-on lesson titled “Sandhills Cattle and River Valley Soybeans.” Students explored why plants and animals live and grow where they do in Nebraska by investigating different types of soil from around the world. Using play-doh “soil samples,” they sliced fractions, compared land types, and discovered how Nebraska’s soil, weather, and landforms help shape agriculture in regions across our state.
It was a fun and meaningful way for students to connect classroom learning with real Nebraska agriculture. Thank you, Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation, for this amazing opportunity! 🌾🦬🌱
