Twin River hosted the Madison Dragons Saturday 1/7 and were able to battle for a 42-33 win. The Titans led by 5 at the half before falling behind by three early in the third quarter.  The ladies responded to lead by three heading the final quarter. In the fourth quarter the Titans took control, extending the lead to 11 and the girls made enough free throws down the stretch to secure the win. With victory the Titans moved to 3-8 on the season.

Clara Preister and Delaney Reeg led the Titans with 18 and 12 points respectively. Chloe Pilakowski added 6 points and seniors Haylee Finn, Tori Cornwell and Hannah Yrkoski totaled 6 points to round out the scoring.

Coach Pilakowski said, “We were happy to get the win obviously but as coaches we always strive for that perfect performance and this was definitely not perfect. We know we still have a lot of things to improve here over the two months on both offense and defense. We have a great group of kids who work hard and have fun so we are optimistic that improvement is still ahead for us this season.”

Next week the Titans are on the road in David City vs Aquinas on Tuesday and then back home vs. Cross County on Thursday.
