The following is the itinerary for the trip to view the solar eclipse on Monday. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A VERY FLEXIBLE PLAN. THERE WILL BE NO BUS SERVICE MONDAY AFTERNOON.
Monday morning ALL bus routes will run as scheduled.
8:30 a.m. - Buses will load the elementary students and staff at both sites and depart for Central City.
9:30 - 9:45 - Arrive at the Central City football field to unload staff and students. Return to Genoa to pick up secondary students and staff.
10:30 - 10:45 - Load the secondary staff and students and return to Central City.
11:45 - 12:00 - Arrive at Central City and unload passengers.
12:00 - LUNCH.
1:00 - ish - View total eclipse, provided the clouds behave.
1:05 - 1:10 - Load up the elementary students and staff for return trip to Silver Creek and Genoa. Arrive back at the two sites is dependent upon the traffic in the area at this time.
2:15 - Arrive at Genoa and Silver Creek. Unload passengers. Elementary students will end school at the regular time. Please note - THERE WILL BE NO BUS SERVICE MONDAY AFTERNOON. THE BUSES WILL BE HEADED BACK TO CENTRAL CITY TO PICK UP THE SECONDARY STAFF AND STUDENTS. PLEASE PLAN TO HAVE YOUR STUDENTS PICKED UP AT THE REGULAR TIME AT THE END OF THE DAY.
2:30 - Buses head back to Central City to pick up secondary staff and students.
3:15 - 3:25 - Arrive at Central City football field to load passengers. Head home.
4:15 - Arrive in Genoa. Please note - THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON BUS SERVICE. PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR STUDENTS TO BE PICKED UP.
As the buses near the communities on either trip, an administrator will notify the school when they are a passing through Fullerton or nearing Silver Creek. I will send out a phone message notifying parents of the estimated time of arrival of buses. This should provide enough lead time for parents to pick up their students.
