National Qualifying Community Service Report

Twin River Students Qualify for FBLA NLC in Atlanta

Thirty-three FBLA members competed at State Leadership Conference in Omaha April 6, 7, 8 2016. Members and advisors kicked the conference off with a high-energy, highly-interactive keynote speaker, Rhett Laubauch. His message was to challenge all to live in the big world of others instead of the little world of self. The following are the students that competed and received an award for their outstanding efforts.


If a team or competitor placed in the top 3 they qualified for nationals.

Maddy Rinkol, Cali Shanle, and Shyla Oberhauser in Community Service and Jeff Vanderhart in Cybersecurity qualified at this time.


Community Service-Cali Shanle, Maddy Rinkol, Shyla Oberhauser- 2nd place out of 30 teams

Cybersecurity- Jeff Vanderhart- 3rd place out of 151 competitors

American Enterprise- Chase Cherry, Jenna Oberhauser, Ben Zwiener- 4th place out of 16 teams

Computer Problem Solving- Jeff Vanderhart- 4th place out of 182 competitors

Public Service Announcement- Ryan Range- 4th place out of 24 teams

Introduction to Business Procedures- Ryan Range- 5th place out of 156 competitors

Local Chapter Annual Business Report- Lexi Ramaekers and Payton Cherry- 5th place out of 33 reports

Spreadsheet Applications- Ben Zwiener- 5th place out of 80 competitors

Business Ethics- Preston Connelly, Payton Cherry, Lexi Ramaekers- 6th place out of 20 teams

Global Business- Courtney Nelson and Jeff Vanderhart- 6th place out of 32 teams

Public Speaking I- Ryan Range- 6th place out of 22 competitors

Computer Applications- Spencer VanBuskirk- 8th place and Jenna Oberhauser HM
